- MP V2 Dual tone audio
- MP V3 Adaptable recovery speed in the VCO (multi tones) audio. Accurate discrimination of all non-ferrous targets at maximum detection depth
Battery Life
- MP V2 8 hours
- MP V3 12 hours
RGB Meter
- MP V2 Dual color LED meter - Red for non-ferrous, Blue for Iron
- MP V3 RGB led meter indicating 3 conductivity ranges for non-ferrous. No Iron indicator
Ground Balance
- MP V2 Single fine 10 turn control
- MP V3 Dual Ground Balance controls - Coarse and Fine for more precise GB tuning
Iron Rejection Mode
- MP V2 Utilizes Iron Rejection mode
- MP V3 Does not require utilizing of Iron Rejection
Sensitivity Control
- MP V2 Utilizes Sensitivity control
- MP V3 Does not require utilizing of Sensitivity control
Target Isolation
- MP V2 No LC-MC Set control
- MP V3 LC-MC Set control for isolating hammered gold coins and other small gold items from almost all other non-ferrous targets
Depth
- MP V2 Detection of 50 cm copper pan at 3 meters deep with dual 31 inch search coil out of range
- MP V3 Clear detection of 50 cm copper pan at 3 meters depth with dual 31 inch search coil

With the Silver Scout search coil

With the new 13 inch DD search coil
GROUND BALANCE PROCEDURE - Nexus Standard MP V3 VLF Induction Balance Metal Detector
1. Turn the detector on from the Volume control.
2. Set the audio to a level comfortable for you.
3. Set the threshold to a barely audible level.
4. Set the discrimination level to 0 if a low frequency coil is fitted. For high frequency coils the discrimination level will be different. Read the User Manual on how to set the discrimination level.
5. Mineral Control and VCO Off.
6. Find ground free from metal.
7. Turn the Coarse Gb knob to 10 (fully clockwise).
8. Begin moving the search coil up and down between 8 cm and 25 cm above ground.
9. If the detector beeps while the search coil is going up - turn the Fine GB knob slightly to the right.
10. If the detector beeps while the search coil is going down - turn the Fine GB knob slightly to the left.
11. Keep repeating step 8. & 9. until there are no beeping sounds when the search coil moves up and down.
If the Fine GB is out of range (the detector beeps only when the coil goes down) then turn the Coarse GB to 9.5-9 to set a different GB range.
