Nokta Magnetar 9000 Gold Nugget Metal Detector
The Nokta Magnetar 9000 is an advanced Pulse Induction (PI) gold detector developed for professional gold prospecting in challenging ground conditions. Combining Nokta's advanced pulse induction platform with Dual-Receiver Coil (DRC) technology, the Magnetar 9000 is designed to detect both small gold nuggets and larger, deeper gold targets.
One of its main advantages is its ability to operate in highly mineralized goldfield environments, where ground interference can make detecting small or deeply buried targets difficult. Its advanced ground handling, adjustable detection settings, and specialized gold search modes provide users with greater control over performance in different soil conditions.
The Magnetar 9000 comes with two waterproof DRC search coils, allowing users to select a suitable coil according to the target size, search conditions, and desired coverage. Its combination of advanced detection technology, professional adjustment options, and practical field accessories makes it a specialized solution for serious gold prospectors.

Ground Balance and Mineralization Handling
Ground mineralization is one of the main challenges in gold prospecting. Iron-rich soils, magnetic minerals, salts, and other naturally occurring materials can produce unwanted signals and interfere with the detection of small or deeply buried gold targets.
The Magnetar 9000 includes adjustable ground handling features designed to reduce these effects.
ONE MACHINE. ALL GOLD.

POWER FOR DEEP GOLD. PRECISION FOR SMALL GOLD.
MAGNETAR 9000 is built to find both deep gold and micro nuggets in harsh
mineralized ground. Its advanced pulse induction platform and dual-receiver coils
deliver strong depth, sharp response, and stable performance in difficult conditions.
Advanced Pulse Induction Technology
The Magnetar 9000 operates using an advanced Pulse Induction detection platform. Pulse Induction technology is particularly suitable for gold prospecting in mineralized environments, where ground minerals and conductive materials can create interference for conventional metal detection systems.
The Magnetar 9000 combines its PI operating principle with advanced signal processing and ground adjustment features to improve detection stability and target response.
This configuration is designed to support the detection of different gold target sizes, from small nuggets and fine gold pieces to larger targets buried deeper underground.
Dual-Receiver Coil (DRC) Technology
One of the most distinctive features of the Magnetar 9000 is its Dual-Receiver Coil (DRC) technology.
The detector is supplied with two DRC search coils, each designed for professional gold prospecting:
-
MG37-DRC: 37 × 34 cm (14.5 × 13 inches)
-
MG29-DRC: 29 × 21 cm (11 × 8 inches)
The dual-receiver coil design is a central part of the Magnetar 9000 detection system. Nokta developed this technology to provide a clear target response across different gold sizes, including small nuggets and larger, deeper targets.
Having two coil sizes also gives the user greater flexibility when selecting a search coil for different field conditions. The larger MG37 coil provides broader ground coverage, while the smaller MG29 coil offers a more compact search configuration.
Both search coils are waterproof and supplied with protective coil covers.

Engineered for Serious Gold Hunting
Advanced Pulse Induction technology with an intuitive interface — depth, stability, and clarity in every condition.

Three Specialized Gold Search Modes
The Magnetar 9000 provides three detection modes designed for different target sizes and search conditions.
Maximum Mode
Maximum Mode is designed for detecting small and difficult-to-find gold targets, including small nuggets and near-surface fine gold.
It provides high sensitivity to small gold pieces while also remaining responsive to medium-sized and moderately deep targets. According to the manufacturer, this is the recommended mode for gold prospecting.
Standard Mode
Standard Mode is designed for general-purpose gold detection. It provides a balanced response to different gold target sizes and is suitable for general prospecting conditions.
This mode offers an alternative when users need a more general detection setup rather than prioritizing either very small or deeper targets.
Deep Mode
Deep Mode is designed for detecting larger gold targets located at greater depths.
It prioritizes deeper and relatively larger targets, but may be less effective when detecting very small gold pieces or fine gold close to the surface.
Selecting the appropriate mode according to the target size and ground conditions is important for achieving suitable detection performance.
Sensitivity and Noise Cancellation
The Magnetar 9000 provides 20 sensitivity levels, allowing users to adjust the detector's response according to the search environment.
Higher sensitivity can improve the detection of weaker signals, including those from small or deeply buried targets. However, excessive sensitivity in noisy or highly mineralized ground may produce unstable responses.
The automatic noise cancellation feature helps reduce unwanted electromagnetic interference and improve operating stability.
Additional audio adjustment options, including threshold volume, threshold frequency, audio filtering, stabilizer, and target volume, allow users to customize the detector's audio response.
Waterproof Design for Field and Underwater Use
The Magnetar 9000 is designed for operation in demanding outdoor environments.
Its control unit and search coil meet the IP68 waterproof standard and can be submerged to a depth of up to 3 meters (10 feet).
This allows the detector to be used in shallow water, river environments, wet ground, and other locations where waterproof construction is important.
The Bluetooth headphones are not covered by the detector's waterproof rating and should not be submerged.
Display and User Interface
The detector features a full-color LCD display measuring 49 × 37 mm, with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels.
Its interface provides access to the main detection settings, operating modes, battery status, and other system information.
Additional features include:
-
Backlit display and keys
-
Built-in flashlight
-
Key sounds
-
Key vibration
-
Multilingual interface
-
User profile management
These features support operation in different lighting and field conditions.
