Minelab GP 3500

The Minelab GP 3500 detector was released in 2005, and it was discontinued in 2006, replaced by the Minelab GPX 4000. The GP 3500 is a pulse induction (PI) metal detector aimed primarily at the gold prospecting market. The Minelab GP 3500 was the last and most refined of the analog PI models that Minelab produced, before making the shift to digital with the GPX 4000.

Multi-function Quick-Trak Remote – The Quick-Trak push button allows the operator to quickly and easily re-ground balance when operating in Fixed mode and vice-versa allowing the operator easy and instant access to Fixed ground balance and pin-point when searching in Tracking. This means convenience, comfort, ease of use AND allows detecting in Fixed mode more often, which means more depth!
Manual Tune Control – The manual tuner serves two functions: (1) To gain the most stable, quietest, interference free detecting, the manual tuner can be used to fine tune after using the auto push button. It can also be used to make small changes as you move around. (2) If operating in a quiet environment, the manual tuner can be used to select a specific frequency band to operate in. It is well known that lower frequencies can give a better response to deep targets, while high frequencies can improve sensitivity to small nuggets.
3-Speed Tracking – In highly variable soils the use of Fixed mode may be impractical, making continuous Tracking mode the preferred method. Now the operator has the choice of THREE tracking speeds to choose from – Slow, Medium and Fast. This allows you to choose the best Tracking Speed for the ground variability, the coil you’re using and your own hunting style. The Tracking sensitivity level, previously controlled by the Level Adjust knob has now been pre-programmed to the optimum level for the Tracking speed selected. This gives you the best operating function to gain improved performance.
Re-positioned Controls - the control panel layout has been re-designed to allow for a simpler, logical set-up procedure.
Easy Adjust Bow Knuckle – Whenever the operator changes their detecting location or changes their coil, it may be necessary to adjust the position of the Bow Knuckle to a new balance point. The new Bow Knuckle allows for easy re-positioning anytime without extra tools.
Improved Smart Point Built in Diagnostic Port – The Smart Point allows Minelab engineers to test and verify your GP3500 is optimized for maximum performance before it leaves the factory.
Reduced Weight and Improved Performance 11” Double-D coil - The Minelab 11” Double-D coil is one of the most reliable and versatile coils ever made. Minelab has redesigned the coil so that it is lighter and the internal windings have been modified to improve signal response, depth and sensitivity.
Improved Discrimination Software - The discrimination on the GP3500 is now more accurate than ever and able to identify smaller target signals than was possible before now.
