Armand Moneta Metal Detector
The Armand Moneta is an analog VLF metal detector designed primarily for searching for coins, jewelry, small historical artifacts, and other valuable metal objects. Manufactured in Poland, the Moneta combines a traditional analog detection system with practical controls, multiple operating modes, metal discrimination, and a lightweight field-oriented design.
Operating at approximately 7 kHz, the Armand Moneta is designed for general metal detecting with particular emphasis on small non-ferrous targets. Its Dynamic, Static, and Pinpoint modes provide different options for searching and target location, while adjustable discrimination can help reduce unwanted responses from iron and steel objects.
The detector uses direct controls rather than a complex digital menu, allowing important settings to be adjusted quickly during a search. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 25 hours of operating time under typical conditions.

Designed for Coin and Small-Target Detection
The Armand Moneta is particularly suited to users searching for small metal objects such as:
-
Coins
-
Jewelry
-
Silver and copper objects
-
Small historical artifacts
-
Historical metal finds
-
Other small non-ferrous metal objects
Its approximately 7 kHz operating frequency and VLF detection technology provide a practical platform for general-purpose metal detecting and searching for small targets.
Metal Discrimination
The Armand Moneta includes adjustable discrimination for reducing unwanted responses from iron and steel targets.
When discrimination is enabled, the detector can reduce signals from certain unwanted ferrous objects. With discrimination disabled, the detector responds to a wider range of metal targets.
Users should keep in mind that excessive discrimination can also affect the detection of some small or thin non-ferrous targets, including certain thin silver coins. For this reason, the appropriate discrimination setting depends on the search environment and the type of targets being sought.
Operating Modes
Dynamic Mode
Dynamic operation is intended for continuous searching while moving the search coil across the ground. It is suitable for systematic field searches and general coin and artifact detection.
Static Mode
Static operation provides an alternative detection method for locating and examining metal targets without relying exclusively on continuous coil movement.
Pinpoint Mode
Pinpoint mode is designed to help locate the approximate position of a detected target before recovery, making it easier to narrow down the target location.
Simple Analog Controls
The Armand Moneta uses a traditional analog control system. Important detector functions can be accessed directly through physical controls rather than navigating through a complex LCD menu.
This design provides quick access to sensitivity, discrimination, and other operating settings and can be useful for users who prefer straightforward manual control.
Field-Oriented Construction
The Moneta is designed for comfortable use during field searches. Its lightweight construction weighs approximately 1.35 kg, while the adjustable armrest and shaft length allow the detector to be adapted to the user's preferred operating position.
The detector incorporates an aluminum structure, a carbon-fiber shaft section, and a durable polycarbonate control housing. The search coil is waterproof and designed for resistance to mechanical wear.
The waterproof search coil does not mean that the complete detector is waterproof or suitable for underwater use.
Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery
The Armand Moneta features a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
