White’s Electronics designs and builds metal detectors in Sweet Home, Oregon. A second facility in Inverness, Scotland, serves Europe and Asia.
The company is led by Ken and Mary White, guided by the same philosophy that was so successful for Ken’s father when he began the company in 1950.
In October 2020, Garrett Electronics acquired White’s Electronics, assuming ownership of White’s trademarks, intellectual property, tooling, and other non-real estate assets. As a part of this acquisition, Garrett continues to provide White’s product owners with access to White’s manuals, while Centreville Electronics and Centreville Electronics NW provide repair and warranty services.
