The RTS-1600B is the latest upgrade to our original plugin radar system for the Gekko series of antennas.
The entire acquisition channel has been redesigned to accommodate longer ranges, more antennas, and most importantly better data quality. The now familiar experience for autonomous deep ground penetrating radar surveys has got a boost in speed and productivity.
A much requested feature is that the new RTS can be used in distance mode for more "down to Earth" surveys.
Communications with the control host has been further enhanced and the USB interface now has full support for all software functions. The available embedded module for in house applications has been upgraded as well to offer a simpler, yet faster experience.
Like its predecessor the new version supports internal and external power supply for more flexibility and operation time, but the on board batteries have been replaced with much more powerful ones allowing for those extra minutes of flight we were missing.
The RTS1600B is the fastest, most reliable, and easiest to operate drone mounted Ground Penetrating Radar control unit available on the market today.
With its extended range, wide antenna choice, and long operation time it will cover a wide range of applications and solve many of the survey challenges a professional on the field encounters.
The RTS1600B has a real time sampling engine under the hood with a fast transmitter PRF. These two features combined provide outstanding high stacking values for a significantly improved SNR of the system.
Like all other fully integrated airborne systems manufactured by Geoscanners AB, the new RTS-1600B has an internal data storage that permits surveys in autonomous mode without the need for the computer to be connected to the unit at all times. This eliminates the possibility of data loses.
The present model now supports distance mode and faster GPS / RTK units.
